Things that are AWESOME

filed under: /journal

If we're talking about things that are AWESOME, we're obviously going to start with me. Or maybe not me exactly, but rather Erin's list of 25 ExTrA special AWESOME things about me. Yes, when I declined to write such a list, Erin stepped up to the challenge. I thought FOIA had something to do with government records, but she's the lawyer.

I have no idea how or why Erin remembers some of them, such as what word I got wrong in the spelling bee (although I remember of course; the second year it was "barricade"). And fyi, I do not know why 1 is true. I didn't even realize it until people started making fun.

Other things recently found awesome:

  • Slumdog Millionaire
  • If you go now, you can download something called the Real World Amazon Sampler for free. The album is not quite awesome, but it contains Way Down In The Hole, better known as the theme song to The Wire season 1, which is awesome.
  • This camera bag, which is made by a small boutique company and not sold by very many dealers. My mom somehow found it and gave it to me for Christmas. Otherwise I would have eventually gotten around to buying the carryon-sized Pelican case, which carries less stuff and weighs more. (It is waterproof and all that, but that doesn't actually matter any place I go.) I took a 1DII, three or four lenses, two flashes, an umbrella, a Super Clamp, a 15 inch Powerbook, and all the various batteries and cords in it last Christmas. This is probably all the weight I can carry on my back without falling over backwards.
