the sun'll come out tomorrow

Actually, because of how long it took me to get around to writing this, the sun came out two days ago. Nonetheless, this is not a great time to be in Ireland. The patient reader might recall how I am always complaining about the dreary monotony of San Francisco weather? Well it was a sunny 95° for most of last week in Sunnyvale, and it was, hey hey, 50° and raining all week here. If the little weather thing on my igoogle page can be relied upon, which it can't, then it looks like howling wind and torrential rain for the rest of this week, too. (It might look like an ordinary rainy-cloud icon on your screen, but trust me, it is the howling-wind-and-torrential-rain icon.) I knew enough to bring an umbrella, but gave up on it after it kept blowing inside-out in TV fashion. So if it starts to rain while I am outside, I just get wet. Wah waah.

Fortunately I don't have to be outside much, since I have been given a corporate apartment this time, which is next to the office, besides being more comfortable than a hotel room. Not that I am going to be using the kitchen a whole lot, but at least I can have, like, a bottle of soda. And having a laundry machine is a great success, compared to last year when it required a two day saga to finally get one load of laundry washed for €11.

I got here at 9am on Thursday after a 9 hour plane ride that began at 3pm Wednesday. So it makes sense that I would get stuck on China time for several days, where I can't stay awake past about 8pm and then want to get up at 3. It was the same last time. I am probably fixed now, since I made it to 1 and am getting tired.

I did go out some on the weekend, and even took pictures on film, like I thought I might. But the thing about that is, I can't show them to you, because they are in a can in my room. Who knew it would be so inconvenient.

Oh hi...No...No—...Nothing happened, we just went our separate ways, is all...No...No, I don't have more to say about it.
