But now the game is up. I think I know what has happened, so I add hibiscusbloom to my google-talk, figuring that I can sort it out faster if she should come online. When she doesn't appear for the rest of the day, I email her back, as I am leaving work:

hmm, I don't really know that many girls from kickball, you know. i'd be a little surprised if you were lisa, her being married, as i understand it. phuong doesn't seem all that shy. i do hope you're not jenny .. not that i have anything against jenny, except that her boyfriend is one of my coworkers and this I do not need.

thanks, are you sure you have the right person? I'm not famous for smiling a whole lot. i'm the white guy, on the green team, i took pictures that one time..? down to earth i'll accept.
This would have been the end of the story of Happie Go Lucky, but the next day, she did sign in to google talk, at which point she would have been told that "pomonamikey has added you." But remember that she only knows my work email address, so she doesn't know who pomonamikey is (and doesn't guess .. I have started to suspect that Happie isn't the brightest bulb on the marquee).
